Audio adjustments on new machines

Posted by gregster on 05 Jun 2007 in Labs, Tasks
Apparently my cursory check of the audio levels on the new machines was not sufficient. At issue is that the TS and SW need to be "sync'd" in terms of the Sanako configs so that audio arrives student-side unscathed. I didn't do this because my very rapid tests showed that audio was just a bit soft. Obviously I was wrong. Eric has reported that music pushed to SWs from tape is heavily overdriven and student recordings are to soft to be useful. Martin and I will do a proper setup in the morning to fix these problems.
