It would appear as though I now have cocoon running with saxon8 and xep 4.9. I installed saxon8 jars per the previous post, but have called it saxon, rather than saxon8 as I am not certain about the ramifications of changing that part of the path. The cocoon.xconf documentation does not address a dual-saxon-ed cocoon so for the time being we are using xalan as the default XSLT processor. If XSLT2 is needed, call saxon and let me know if he answers: I don't think I have a simple way of testing this.
