Revisions' updates to website underway.
Received invoice for printer service.
Approved payment; sent original to accounting; filed HCMC copy
Exhausting set of corrections for the Osborne text, with some questions still outstanding; one issue involved th loss of spaces in listBibl/bibl entries, which proved to be caused by the use of Xalan on the server (so it didn't show up on local builds, where I use Saxon). I edited the sitemap.xmap file for ScanCan so that it calls Saxon instead of the default "xslt" (=xalan), and the problem seems to be solved.
On late duty.
Tickets on Simple; work on @selector and defaultVal, as well as other discussions on the Council list; a new release of the oxygen-tei plugin with new version numbering and file/folder names; reminders to jTEI editors.
The incoming Cumberland data was very messy; some fields missing, some info split across fields, typos in headers, badly-configured ids, and many other predictable but tricky problems. I've finally massaged that data into four spreadsheets, written a working processor for it, processed it into CSV for ingestion, and ingested it into the db. It's not perfect but there are a lot of records so it can't be manually corrected (by me, anyway). Now it's in there, we can probably link the photos to it relatively easily.
During the process, I've also created a spreadsheet for repos to complete, and expanded and enhanced the documentation for it.
Updating the site with new revisions.
We do need to be able to print the odd page, so I've set up the Brother printer on the network by:
- Plugging in the ethernet cable from the regular printer.
- Changing the ip address in the Brother printer setup to match that associated with the old printer and printer.hcmc.uvic.ca (196.214).
It works fine; Linux found it automatically, and so did OSX. I haven't installed it on any student workstations.
OOO for dental appointment, and leaving a little early.
As responses come to my bugs on Simple, we'll need to make small changes, but it seems to be basically working.
