0.50 hours: LEMDO: Test and report on use of svn to checkout and commit to subfolders within the repo. Works as predicted. Investigation of use of PATs which will be required in August; this is probably what we'll have to use for regular editors/committers.
2.00 hours: Keats: Checking and fixing numerous problems with map locations and categories. Remaining issues probably need to be dealt with in BreezeMap itself.
1.25 hours: DVPP: Meeting with AC, checking into figure encoding, gathering and submitting timesheets.
1.50 hours: BreezeMap: Fix for a bug in point image rendering, rework of centre-on-features to account for timeline control, and other tweaks.
0.75 hours: Testing GitHub Desktop on Windows. Also the annoying monthly wrestle with Windows Updates in the VM.
1.50 hours: Draft of part of the Endings article section on products.

1.50 hours: Scancan: Encoded the rest of the vol 28 article, except for the problematic quotes-or-figures; other questions to HT.
2.50 hours: Keats: Switching a few dozen location coord sets to points for simplicity and consistency on the map; splitting some combined locations into multiples; adding dev option for drawing on the map; discussions with KB about the map and a plan for the placeography.
2.00 hours: Endings/staticSearch: Discussions with JT on mandatory config elements; decision on the staticSearch_feat filter; new branch to work on that; addition of test values into the test set; JSON filter generation for the new filter; caption in en and fr for placeholder; generation of filter control on the page. Only the JS remains to be done.

1.00 hours: TEI: With SB, look at a couple of tickets, and pick one for the next Stylesheets Working Group meeting.
5.75 hours: Endings/staticSearch: Into the difficult implementation of the typeahead control in JavaScript. The basics are all done and working now, but there's a final thorny issue related to timing and setup for an initial query which is stored in URL params. Also added three sets of feature meta tags to the Despatches pages in anticipation of being able to test.

Martin Holmes and Joey Takeda have released the latest production version of their staticSearch tool, one of the key products from Project Endings. This version adds several new features and improvements. See the release notes and full documentation.

I've always been frustrated by only being able to have one copy of Oxygen running. I like to work on different projects in different workspaces, so when something large is building, I can just switch to another project for a bit. I discovered this:

which solves the problem. Edit the oxygen.sh file in the Oxygen folder and add this:

-Dcom.oxygenxml.MultipleInstances=true\

in the set -- \ section. Then edit the .Desktop file that starts the Oxygen editor and comment out the existing line, which looks like this:

Exec="/home/mholmes/Oxygen XML Editor 23/oxygen23.1" %U

and add this one instead:

Exec="/home/mholmes/Oxygen XML Editor 23/oxygen.sh"

You have to omit the %U. Then you can start Oxygen as many times as you like. However, the last one to close will dictate the remembered settings.
