Antelope (Southwark)

The Antelope and Suffolk Place were the two messuages that King Edward VI kept in Bridge Without Ward after he resigned his right as lord of the manor in 1550 (Cunningham 72). John Stow notes that after 1550, King Edward VI continued to own his park in Southwark, which included the grounds called the Antelope (Stow 442).
