Merchant Taylors’ School

Merchant Taylors’ School was founded by The Merchant Taylors’ Company in 1561. According to Stow, The Merchant Taylors’ Company bought Rose Manor on Suffolk Lane to serve as the building for the school (Stow 189). This building was destroyed in the Fire, and a new building was constructed on the same site in 1674–1675.
The school is still active today and has a web page detailing its history: https://www.mtsn.org.uk/about-us/history/.
