Blackman Street

Blackman Street formed the southern portion of the main thoroughfare in Southwark, which is now commonly referred to as High Street or Borough High Street (H.E. Malden). John Stow notes that Blackman Street began at the southern end of Long Southwark near St. George, Southwark and moved south towards Newington (Stow 447). Blackman Street is south of the area depicted on the Agas map.
