Rochester House

Rochester House was a manor in Southwark that was given to the Bishop of Rochester in the eighth century (Lysons). Rochester House is not to be confused with Bromley Palace or Rochester Palace in Bromley. John Stow notes that in his time Rochester House had fallen into a state of ruin (Stow 449).
