Monday 2021-06-14

0.25 hours: Update Jenkins servers.
1.50 hours: Endings/staticSearch: Worked on ticket re inline CSS/JS from last week, to make staticSearch more amenable to CORS constraints. Branched, implemented, tested with local tests, then with DVPP, then created a pull request. A bit more background reading for DHQ article.
1.50 hours: Maint: SVN server migration done; did testing and debugging, hit a problem with something being cached by Jenkins that required a couple of restarts; informed all teams when everything was working again; debugged a couple more issues with folks still checking out on old revision URL.
0.75 hours: LEMDO: Investigated a problem with pbs in sp elements which came down to a Schematron rule, which I rewrote and tested. Encoders should not have to split speeches; the build code should do that if necessary.
0.50 hours: MoEML: Found and fixed build-breaking errors in egXMLs.
0.50 hours: DVPP: Added periodical abbreviations in parentheses in the search pages to make results more comprehensible; working with RA on timesheet issue (payment apparently missing).
0.25 hours: Keats: Debugging a couple of issues for KB, and adding link to What's New page to menu.
1.00 hours: Scancan: Discussions on migration to UofA, review of grant application.
1.00 hours: Maint: Testing and background reading on security headers and in particular CSP, which is proving a problem for our sites right now.

0.25 hours: Update Jenkins servers.
0.50 hours: DVPP: Switch back to staticSearch dev branch following merge; troubleshoot missed timesheet for CC with Payroll (solved -- they missed it and will pay her).
0.25 hours: Keats: Tweak to diagram and to footer per KB; discussion on next edition contents.
5.00 hours: LEMDO: Lots of work on the issue of witnesses and collations; various changes to policy arising out of discussions and testing; witness lists now being output into HTML pages, and witness identifiers are links to them; more work needs to be done, but the process is clear now.
0.50 hours: Wendat: Rebuild stats, team meeting.
0.50 hours: LEMDO: Bug fix to mend build break.

Wednesday 2021-06-16

0.25 hours: Update Jenkins servers.
0.75 hours: DVPP: Rebuilt TEI metadata for a few periodicals, dealt with new years not yet added to the repo; processed four of five timesheets.
4.00 hours: LEMDO: Reworked the plan for witnesses a bit, to allow for two different encoding options; rewrote processing; rewrote JavaScript to handle linked content as well as @corresp attribute, and also names; converted existing witnesses and added Schematron to constrain; added documentation for encoders and programmers.
0.50 hours: ProD: Attended UVic Research Town Hall.
0.75 hours: Endings/staticSearch: New branch for issue #158, renaming search pages in test so that branching development is easier in future; pull request for JT.
0.50 hours: DVPP: Anomaly-hunting in the facsimile browser to find more poems with wrong dates.
0.50 hours: ColDesp: Added a detailed intro to the search features on the search page, and special processing for it, to get a details/summary element.

1.00 hours: HCMC: Discussions with SA, and team meeting.
2.00 hours: ICAT training.
1.00 hours: LEMDO: Fix for speech-splitting code and Schematron to get emdGQH_M working; help for TEH doing facsimile renaming.
4.00 hours: Scancan: Proofing corrections for Foreword; work on setting up a convenient local instance of OJS for testing (can't get OJS docker container working, so falling back on building a docker LAMP stack for it; starting work on the import XML, but the schema is completely undocumented and the examples are uncommented, so it's going to be trial-and-error. Lots of work coming here.

0.50 hours: TEI: Weekly meeting with SB, discussion and comment on JT's ticket.
0.25 hours: Scancan: Emails re OJS imports, and evaluation of spreadsheet process offered by UofA, which will be simpler than the undocumented XML route.
0.25 hours: Keats: Discussions on undated timeline pages and file naming.
3.00 hours: MoEML: Fixes for next/pref arrow CSS; obsoleted old praxis doc; redirected GREA3 to BRID10 and fixed pointers; implemented two new diagnostics; discussion of release dates, and consequent ticket triage.
1.00 hours: LEMDO: Updated PDF processing to account for movement of bibl items from BIBL1 to BEED1; tweaked processing to allow for unfinished note annotations which have no pointers (both fixes for build breaks).
1.50 hours: Endings: Drafted data section of DHQ article, and summarized remaining work in email to JT. Next week it must be finished.
0.75 hours: Endings: First read/comment of first DHQ article submitted.
