14. Editorial annotations
In some manuscript facsimile editions, such as Potier 1745, the editor of the original
facsimile publication has supplied their own annotations in print form in the manuscript.
This is handled as follows:
- Make sure that person is listed in the historical personography, and make a note of
their xml:id.
- Create a <respStmt> for that personʼs role in the <teiHeader>:
<respStmt>
<resp ref="rsp:edt">Editor</resp>
<persName ref="prs:fraser_a">Alexander Fraser</persName>
</respStmt>
- Wrap the annotation in a <note> element with type=ntAnnotation, and use the resp attribute to assign responsibility for the annotation.
<note type="ntAnnotation"
resp="prs:fraser_a">
<p>il n'y a qu un moment <seg xml:lang="la">vide</seg>
<form>onhȣa</form>
</p>
</note>
