staticSearch: pushing for a release

Over the last couple of days I had raised two minor issues on staticSearch, and implemented one; on Friday I did a more detailed triage of the outstanding issues for release 2.0, and fixed some. I moved others to 2.1, since some are blocked or a bit blue-sky, and got us down to three remaining 2.0 issues. Then I messaged JT to see if we can have a meeting and move forward on these.
