Note to self: if you set @flags="!" in xsl:analyze-string, you can trigger full Java regex support in Oxygen, which means things like \b work. This was essential for us in doing the automated name markup, which works a treat (see XSLT document in repo), although I think it could be speeded up with some xsl:keys. Probably.

Moving forward, all new characters, places, and group IDs must be documented (events are exempt). They should appear in the same format as within the XML (i.e. abas_3 not simply Abas), and should include a brief description to avoid confusion or conflation. Please use this post for documenting any new additions as they become apparent.
Additions to Places:
sperchiusRiver: A river in central Greece, south of Lamia. It is personified earlier in the Iliad (bk. 16) as a god, but there wasn't a corresponding placename entry for it as necessitated by bk. 23.
acropolis: The Acropolis at Athens.
