Today I made considerable progress in building the ODD file and testing the resulting schema for our own custom XML encoding of census data. The flexibility XML gives us will allow us to bring all the different types of census info together nicely, and the process of building the schema is actually turning into a set of principles for reconciling the various divergent fields across the collection.
