Over the weekend did a bit of work on the HcmcMonocle tool, and got the onscreen controls all working; then on Monday started trying to figure out how best to approach touch/pinch gestures, which is going to be a bit complicated.
On Tuesday, generated a test site to share with the team, based on work so far. Also implemented basic rendering of the text-level metadata.
On Wednesday, got a new feature request from NH and PS, to provide a view which has a listing of available facsimiles, so started retrofitting that into the class. That’s nearly done, with some outstanding questions about how to navigate between the (now) three distinct views. Also got the drag-to-pan functionality working, which wasn’t too difficult, but that works on pixel offsets while the buttons work based on percentage, so I’ll have to find a good way to resolve that.
On Thursday, worked some more on Monocle, but after discussion with the team and some thought, it appears that the approach of hacking in a listing feature is actually completely wrong; it will require a rewrite, because the entire anthology will have to be supplied as a single json file.
On Friday, did some trimming of svn permissions with NH.
