A new edition of Dr. Kim Blank’s Then & Now has been released. This site presents a selection of articles on Romantic-era poets taken from the 11th edition of the Encyclopædia Britannica (1910-1911), generally held to be the greatest encyclopædia ever published in English, each accompanied by a companion article written by a modern scholar, responding to the original article and considering how the reputation and popularity of the poet has changed in the years since the encyclopædia was published. The project has been covered in the Victoria Times Colonist newspaper. This edition incorporates a new article on George Darley, by David Stewart.
