On Monday, OCRed some new poems and encoded two of them. Then met with the team to
talk about new personography features. After that, implemented schema constraints
and documentation for the <education> element, which will be
our pilot for this work. Then discussed how to surface the <linkGrp>
work which AC has been doing, and then implemented a draft of a mechanism for exposing
those <linkGrp>s on the Poems page.
On Tuesday, encoded a couple more poems, and tweaked encoding for a couple more. Then implemented sorting of abbreviations on the abbreviation page per AC.
On Wednesday, fixed a bug in yesterday’s sorting output.
On Thursday, encoded a couple more poems from Chambers 1850.
On Friday, encoded two more poems, finishing Chambers 1850 and starting on 1860. Then right at the end of the day, discovered that all the AYR page-images were missing in action. Turned out they had been moved into another periodical’s folder, so it was an easy fix, but quite scary at first. We have backups, but pushing that much to the server takes time.
