On Monday, had a team meeting to review the filenaming and image capture
protocols, and then started work on a way of bringing together all the
individual poems that constitute sonnet sequences as well as the sequences
which are encoded in separate poems; we need to do this to create a special
landing page to support KF’s work, but there’s no easy approach to it yet.
We created four new subcategories of linked-series or multi-part poems which
are specialized to sonnets, and applied these categories to existing <linkGrp>s
so that a landing page can harvest them.
On Tuesday, worked through the first six months of The Graphic, and made a list
of anomalies and fixes required. Also puzzled over a mysterious build-break which turned out
to be caused by TEI <divGen> elements I’d created but not yet added
templates for.
On Wednesday, continued working on HTML validation issues with the build. In the process, I tried out the latest non-stable release of the VNU validator, and found one bug with it, for which I raised a ticket on GitHub. It’s a lot more picky about some arguably peripheral things; I fixed a couple of things in anticipation of our moving towards using it at some point but that will be in the future. Also did some deletion of fragments per AC.
On Thursday, did a brief re-read of the very last proof of our book chapter on search.
On Friday, worked with TT to figure out how to include audio files and music scores in the repo, XML, and HTML, and came up with a basic plan. Then did the basic intro to CSS for TT. During that, we discovered some image problems in Evergreen 4, and sorted them out with help from AVH. Also did one fix from diagnostics.
