I've done a complete test transcription/encoding of the first chapter, and tweaked the output XSLT accordingly. There are a number of questions to answer among the team before we complete the instructions sheets.
Much correspondence on procedures and documentation; some housekeeping; assessment of revised submission for Issue 9 and proposal for acceptance.
BT and KAH have completed the 00-Transcription instructions, and they look good. I've switched over from using simple: rendition values to using @style with CSS, and I've added some basic Schematron validation to the ODD file which should help avoid typos and that sort of error in @style. I've also started work on the XSLT for XHTML5, and I'm using the now tried-and-true approach of passing key XML information through to the XHTML5 using data-* attributes. Going well so far.
Lots of email discussion about processes and procedures as part of the handover process.
Google Hangout with SB planning the next phases of this material.
Created two more documents for the incoming editor. I've now done seven of a projected 20.
I have an outline which includes 20 documents intended as guidance for the incoming Managing Editor, and I've now written the first three of them.
Made more progress with the Author Mode CSS, refined the schema a bit, and met with BT and KAH to discuss development of the other components of the package.
I have a working schema and document type spec for the XPR file (although there's a lot more work to do), and I'm working on Author Mode CSS.
Met with KRDMF to discuss Eng 362, and show her the Eng 500 materials. Meeting now arranged for Friday with all parties to plan the schema, document segmentation, encoding package, teaching materials etc.
