Reworking of the Hulquminum site
Sarah is working for Tom H. on the Hulquminum site, which is currently in an unfinished condition. There are new exercises which haven't been built with the site source files; there are new audio files that need to be linked into new exercises; and there are various errors and problems to be fixed.
This morning I downloaded the latest copies to my HD and tried building some units using the customized source files, with the current version of Hot Potatoes. The builds seemed to work fine, so presumably the source file changes since April 2004 don't affect the customizations. I also cleaned up a source file problem with a comment that kept being added every time an HTML file was processed by the Masher; created new build files for a couple of units that were missing them; and checked existing files for ill-formed audio file links with erroneous capitals (none found). I uploaded the results back to the server, and Sarah is going to take those and work on them. When she's finished cleaning up and completing the new materials, as well as checking the old, we'll need to:
- Re-convert all the WAV audio to mp3, mov, ogg and wma using AWave on Dandelion.
- Create new Masher build files for units which don't yet have them.
- Add those files to the batch (bjm) files for Grammar and Vocabulary.
- Rebuild all the exercises in the Grammar and Vocab trees using the batch files.
- Test everything.
