This is what's complete at this point:

• All location information from the index has been merged into the core location files, so the index is now unnecessary (although see the preceding post for some problems that still need to be fixed with specific files).
• The index.xql driver file can now retrieve a location file, complete it by adding full bibliographical references to the end of it, and then transform it for display.
• The display XHTML looks identical to the existing site, but has been substantially simplified (layout tables have been eliminated, for instance).
