Microfilm scanning

Completed a process started in June in which a microfilm reel needed scanning in order to include manuscript images in a publication for EK (History).
I found that the Library is willing to occasionally allow us to use a microfilm scanner which handles reels (our scanner will do microform and 35mm slides, but not reels) and regular microforms. The scanner is simple to use and has a decent computer attached to it.
I scanned the manuscript pages at 600dpi and touched them up in Photoshop. Unfortunately the default settings in the scanning software obscured crucial detail, so I had to re-do it this past week. It has now been completed to EK's satisfaction.
