Substantial progress with the SGML conversion. I'm finding many errors in the SGML, when validating the resulting TEI. I've had to do a bunch of extra character replacements to use numeric entities, because many characters are officially not supported in SGML, so osx raises errors when encountering them. I've refactored the text styling code so that it's more context-sensitive, although there's more work to do there.
