LL told me that the URL "http://history.uvic.ca/dev/volunteer/index.php" was returning a 404 page not found error, so I
1) determined that history.uvic.ca is now pointing to the same folder as web.uvic.ca/history
2) checked that folder for a dev folder, didn't find one
3) checked the old server printer.hist.uvic.ca at 142.104.128.126 and didn't find one
4) checked the archive of the old history dept web site (in a zip file in the account) and found a dev directory
5) copied the dev directory into the current web site
6) tested the URL, which turns out to be a front end to an sql database running on "csmgenr". The user name is "histwp" and database is "history". Made a trivial change and the system seems to be working.
