When the large image was displayed, BI wanted the user to be able to "close" the div by clicking anywhere on the big image and to see a "click to close" mesage when hovering over that image, but for neither of these behaviours to occur over the metadata div to the left of the image. Had to adjust the dom a bit to get the right behaviour, but it's working now.
