The department is re-doing their placement exams so as to require less typing. MCD is taking the existing HotPot exercise files and a bunch of notes and creating new types of exercises where possible. I spent one session showing her the basics of opening, editing and saving Hot Potatoes exercises. She then asked how to create different types of exercises so we set up another session where I showed her which potato to use (JMix, JMatch, JCloze, JQuiz) and what configuration settings to use (drop-down list vs text box, dragdrop vs click, include buttons for accented characters) to get the effects she wanted.
