The previous version of the site used the filename convention professors/profname/profname.php (where "profname" is replaced by that professor's last name). When we rewrote the site a couple of years ago we changed that convention to professors/profname/index.php. Because some professors had circulated their previous filename, we also included in the new site a file professors/profname/profname.php which was a copy of the professors/profname/index.php file. What we should have done then but did not do, was to make that profname/profname.php file automatically forward to the profname/index.php file. I have just done that for all the professors.
