What is Tested and How
The exams are offered for adults (age 19 and up) and High School students (ages 14-18).
The TORFL consists of five subtests assessing a different area of language proficiency:
Subtest 1. Vocabulary. Grammar. Лексика. Грамматика
Subtest 2. Reading. Чтение
Subtest 3. Listening Comprehension. Аудирование
Subtest 4. Writing. Письмо
Subtest 5. Speaking. Говорение
Each subtest is given as a separate test with breaks in between. The chart below shows time set for each subtest and the total testing time for each level.

Students must score a minimum of 66% in each subtest to have passed the exam. If a student scored less than 66% in one of the subtests (but passed all other subtests), he or she can re-take only that subtest within the following two years for half of the testing price (other 4 subtests will be count as “passed”).
The certificate reflects your proficiency level. Your score does not appear on the certificate.
