A new requirement to insert pointers to existing entries from homonyms pushes the requirement to alphabetize the English word-groups to the front of the queue, so I started work on that, with a switch to turn it on or off in case they decide the current order should stay.
On Thursday, I got the alphabetization working, and then addressed the
issue of homonym pointer entries. That was quite tricky, because everything
in the processing is based on sequence as it appears in the spreadsheets, but
now we’re increasingly treating entries as items that need to be ordered. Eventually
I got it working, so now if you set the switch -DalphabetizeEnglish=yes
in the ant call, you get the English headwords alphabetized, and you also get the
inserted homonym pointers.
