On Monday, continued encoding the taxonomies, finding a couple of wrinkles in the existing process and results and fixing them.
On Tuesday, finished all the taxonomies needed, and started working
on the XSLT to embed them into the ODD file as <valList>s.
There are nearly three thousand categories altogether…
On Wednesday, started working on the schema-build ant task, so that we can have a sample tiny schema available to demo.
On Thursday, met with JS and IN, and we laid out the project plan; the aim is to have a working schema after the midterms, and then the RAs, JS, IN, and I can start entering some data to test it out. The plan is to edit directly in XML rather than use a spreadsheet or a database. We also confirmed that JS can log into NFS, and is a member of the pressrecord group, so he can start uploading video files.
