On Thursday, met with ECH, SK, and ML to discuss the plan for the print dictionary, and finalized a list of tasks for me. Then on Friday, I fixed one issue from the list (a missing root symbol from translated hyphs), and investigated another (emphasis rendered as bold text possibly being in a slightly smaller font). In the latter case, the font setting itself is not smaller, just bold, but when we measure the printed text physically, it’s very slightly smaller (about one millimeter per five centimeters of text). Further investigation showed that this is probably an optical illusion, since the boldness pushes into the interior of the characters; the space taken up by them seems to be identical when measured on a print.
