On Wednesday, fixed a typo on the site reported by KI, implemented
generation of a spreadsheet for the use of the names committee and the
people who will be on the ground in October at KI’s suggestion, and
made a couple of other detailed suggestions on site content and inclusion
to the JCLS folks for their input. Then worked with PS on the configuration
of the langSwitcher link; paradoxically, the child span (caption) needs to
have the opposite language attribute from the one it has in the template file.
The processing needs to retain the text for switching to Japanese (which is
in Japanese) in the English build of the site, and vice versa, and it does
that based on the @lang attribute, but then that needs to be
flipped because the actual caption is in the other language. Got that
working, and added the @hreflang attribute at the same time.
On Thursday, merged some communities per KH, answered some emails from the Names committee, and reviewed the latest report from MM going to JCLS.
On Friday, discussed the range of old and new sites we’re generating, and cleaned up a couple that we no longer need. Then worked on suppressing info we shouldn’t publicly surface.
