On Monday, discussed possibilities for page layout and incorporation of stone content into person pages with PS. Then worked on that; it required a re-ordering of the build process to enable the stones to be built into pages in a first pass, and then the person pages to be build with a re-processed version of the stone content. In the process, fixed a couple of other bugs with multilingual content.

On Tuesday, rebuilt the site (which now takes over an hour) and pushed to the temp location.

On Wednesday, worked on the key to the stones, which I’ve interpreted to be a listing of the stones with their area placenames and their initial and final names. Then started reworking the page structure on instructions from PS, promoting content titles to <h1> and removing the <h1> in the page header. Also added navigation arrows to the stone pages so that it’s easier to move through them, and reworked the person pages to group content to match PS’s nascent design.

On Thursday, rewrote the code to generate the key to the stones page so that the stones appear as separate blocks, which is more intuitive, and refined the search configuration file to exclude a lot of the listings things such as stones, which reduces the build time. Then planned the process for making place names bilingual in the map JSON, and added some GUI JS to preserve page state when you jump to the other language.
