On Monday, worked through the unusual surname spreadsheet and corrected a bunch of errors in both LOI and Monument, then started on the latest spreadsheet (01-29). By the end of the day, I’d completed everything except the huge number of new adds from passenger lists, and the merge/deletes which always have to be done last.
On Tuesday did all the new adds, which takes a lot of time, but I have automated it as much as I dare. There were a few queries for SI and MA, but mostly it was very smooth. Then finished the merge/deletes to complete the 01-29 spreadsheet.
On Wednesday, received the 01-30 spreadsheet, and did about half of the work, although the list of new adds is again very long, so there will be much more to do there.
On Thursday, did the preparation for the large list of new additions, and generated the records ready for insertion into the two datasets, followed by relation linking within the monument set. Worked through all that, then fixed a couple of things that showed up in diagnostics. Finally, did all the merge/deletes, which threw up new errors in the LOI set to fix.
On Friday, had some discussion with AB and SI about previous changes which were
apparently not made; some seem to be the result of the order of changes, and some the
result of id changes; one was caused by the presence of an <addName>
element in place of a <forename>.
