Over the weekend worked through the first part of the 01-18 spreadsheet, finding some interesting and thorny cases, including a farmer from the Haney Nokai who had no casefile at all, but whose custodian record I managed to retrieve from a Bird Commission file which had a copy of it.
On Monday, finished the rest of the 01-18 spreadsheet, which was considerable, but a newer, bigger one came in at the same time. Then did a full rebuild and release of the Landscapes archive, to catch up with all the changes.
On Tuesday, started on the next spreadsheet, dividing the forename changes into easy vs hard and processing the straightforward ones automatically. Got through most of the spreadsheet, but it took up almost all day. Still finding dozens of errors in the LOI data.
On Wednesday, did the final sheet of merge-and-deletes, fixed a couple of issues showing up in the documentation, rebuilt the site, and published again. Then the next spreadsheet came in.
On Thursday morning, worked through all but one of the forename changes; the remaining one has what looks like a typo; MA confirmed it was, so made an amended change. In the afternoon, did all remaining changes from that spreadsheet except for the substantial list of Add News from the Gripsholm (from SI), and the merge/deletes.
On Friday, set up key info and a task for DA to help me figure out which duplicated, and orphaned custodian case files exist on the server, so that when everything has settled down a bit, we can clean up the mess. Then worked through the remaining changes from the 01-24 spreadsheet, which were substantial; nearly 40 new records needed to be added to the LOI dataset before being ported to Monument.
