Spent most of Monday working through individual fixes in a spreadsheet from MA where most cases had to be done manually, apart from a couple of sheets which had name fixes and so on. There were a lot of cases where LOI data should really be updated too, but there is no time or money to do it.
On Tuesday, made some enhancements to the private site per requests from MA, and then continued working through the multiple parent fixes from SI.
On Wednesday, completed all of the multiple-parent fixes from SI, and then started looking at mismatches between encoded gender and pronouns used in write-ups; out of nearly thirty issues, some were straightforward and easily-fixed errors, but others showed up cases where entirely the wrong information had been entered in the original LOI record. There will be some clean-up to do there.
On Thursday, continued working through the remaining issues found by checking pronoun use against assigned gender, fixing many errors in the original LOI data as well as in the Monument data. Added a diagnostic with an exception mechanism to catch future cases. Added a footer to the site pages carrying the build date and svn revision, so that it’s clear to community members when the public site has changed, and published a new version.
On Friday, got a whole new batch of spreadsheets and worked my way through them gradually;
added another diagnostic to catch cases where gender does not match relationship name, and
through that, discovered many cases where @sex
=U
appeared, even though
the person’s sex was obvious. Fixed a few dozen of those, and published a new copy of the
public site, but there are 40 remaining gender-mismatch issues to diagnose.
