During the week, spent some time familiarizing myself with the codebase again. On Friday, added styling for the beta version warning on the site, then met with the whole team (AWB, ALSB, DA) and had a long and useful discussion of the plans going forward. Notes are in the repository in notes/meeting_2024-10-04.txt. Then implemented a diagnostic requested during the meeting.
Then I went on to working on other features arising from the meeting, and added a page listing direct links to all the family trees (for our own convenience), and then added pan/zoom to the SVGs using a lib from GH. It’s small and self-contained so it doesn’t give us much technical debt.
