On Monday, ALSB started serious proofing and came up with a number of issues; first, we normalized quotes and apostrophes to the curly versions and added Schematron to enforce this; we also normalized the use of en dashes rather than hyphens for numeric ranges, and we fixed a collection of other minor issues and cosmetic problems.
On Tuesday, spent most of the day working with DA and ALSB on fixes and optimizations, and at the end of the day got a set of inferred relations from AB, which we can encode to improve the trees. DA is working on tree optimizations.
On Wednesday, worked more on tree building, and also fixed some minor issues, added the CC-BY-SA icon to the footer with AB’s consent, and confirmed that as far as we know, everything fixable is fixed and we’re ready to release.
On Thursday morning, fixed a couple of last-minute things I noticed, and then published edition 0.8; also backed up the old site, and put a copy of the new release on Zenodo. Then ALSB continued working on the trees, and we looked at a number of anomalies, purging attorneys from the connection-gathering code so that they don’t show up on trees unless they’re actually related.
