AB wrote on Monday with some fixes to the site, which I did: they mostly consist
of suppressing missing
locations in person and event pages, removing and redating
some event documents, and updating some prosopography records.
On Tuesday DA and I got derailed by segfaults appearing during the build when graphviz was invoked. It turns out the default deb install of graphviz on Ubuntu is borked, and defaults to a very old version. Had to download the source to version 10, then ./configure, make, sudo make install, and that solved the problem. But it took a while to figure out.
On Wednesday, we determined that version 9 on DA’s machine was giving different
(actually better) results than the version 10 which is the current stable release
now running on the Linux boxes. I encoded five new bios and fixed a couple of
other bugs in the build, then documented how to make women featured
.
On Thursday, we figured out a plan for the release.
