In preparation for meeting with the team, downloaded some of the plans and extracted the images, then experimented with georectifying them using QGIS. Then we demoed this briefly in the meeting. Decisions:
- We will meet with HT and E tomorrow, to determine E’s availability for encoding
- E + one helper will probably geo-rectify all the plans by the end of Septemter.
- To enable this, GN and I will extract all the images and make them easily available through home1t.
- GN and I will adapt the original LOI title database fields into a custom XML structure so that decent metadata can be collected for the plans and titles.
- Ongoing work, including georectified GeoTIFFs, will be stored in the CICR svn repository.
