Fishmongers’ Company
Worshipful Company of Fishmongers
The Fishmongers’ Company was one of the
twelve great companies of London, formed in 1536 out of the merger of the Stock
Fishmongers and the Salt
Fishmongers. The Fishmongers were
fourth in the order of precedence established in 1515. The Worshipful Company of Fishmongers is still
active and maintains a website at https://fishmongers.org.uk/ that includes a history of the
company.
