According to Pelly, John Henry to Grey, George 11 December 1846, CO 305:1, no. 1666, 83, sent from the Hudson's Bay Company in 1846, the Rosalind was a Brig that was chartered by Government at £250. stirling a month. On June 3rd, presumably in 1846, it delivered a Cargo of Coals for use by the Cormorant.
