Sir,
I have to acknowledge the receipt of your despatch of the 17th
March, No. 18.
There seems to have been a misapprehension on the part of the
Admiralty in regard to your having made a complaint against Admiral
Hastings of refusingyou you Naval assistance, which the correspondence
you now forward, and which ought to have accompanied your despatch
No. 93, of the 16th August of last year, has removed.
