Buckingham acknowledges receiving letters of correspondence between Seymour, Scott, and Hoyt regarding the US administration of Alaska. Buckingham cites an earlier despatch where Buckingham related how Seymour should support US efforts in Alaska and acknowledges that Seymour is already following the directions Buckingham laid out in the earlier despatch.
