以下の文章は、今後サイト更新時に日本語に翻訳される予定です。

Milner, now part of Langley, was settled in 1877 when the Hudson’s Bay Company subdivided its 2,000-acre farm in Langley Prairie into lots for sale. By 1891, the community included carpenters, blacksmiths, butchers, fishermen, loggers, teachers, farmers, and beekeepers. In 1909, the agricultural settlement was renamed Milner, and a townsite developed after the BC Electric Railway Interurban line arrived in 1910. Langley’s fairgrounds and agricultural hall were built in Milner in 1918. Most Japanese Canadian families in Milner operated berry and vegetable farms.
