Clive Stannard
Clive Stannard is an Honorary Visiting Fellow of the School of Archaeology and Ancient History at the University of Leicester. He read social anthropology and history at the University of Cape Town. His current research focusses on integrating numismatics and archaeology to study trade in the western Mediterranean, and the evolution of the monetary economy of central Italy, in the second and first centuries BC. His special interests are Minturnae and Pompeii, and their contacts in the Western Mediterranean.
