Corinne Sanchez

Dr. Sanchez earned a PhD in 2003 at the University of Lion (France). Her thesis was titled: “Ceramic of Narbonne and its hinterland, an analysis about the Romanization process (2th century BC-1st century AD).” She has been a CNRS researcher in Bordeaux since 2006 and in Montpellier (France) at the laboratory «Archaeology of Mediterranean Societies» since 2010.

Corinne specializes in Roman Archaeology, with particular interests in the economic relations between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic. Her main research interests are ceramics, pottery production centres and workshops, acculturation processes and trade and commercial circuits. Since 2010 she has lead an important project about the ancient harbour of Narbonne where she has directed several excavation campaigns.

Dr. Sanchez has participated in 12 national and international research projects and since 2015, she has lead her own research team and laboratory «Techniques, productions, trade, consumption».
