Claudia Ortega Palacios

Ms. Ortega Palacios is currently a PhD candidate of the Cultura Material i Arqueometria UB (ARQUB) research unit at the University of Barcelona. She has a BA and MA in Archaeology and her academic interests have focused on the understanding of Antiquity by studying its material culture, with special emphasis on archaeometric research. Her dissertation focuses on the application of analytical techniques for the study of Black Gloss pottery from the 2^nd century BCE to the 1^st century CE in the Western Mediterranean, applying an interdisciplinary approach between archaeology and archaeometry.
