Scanner setup on desktop machines

GN managed to acquire the Linux driver for the Plustek scanner, so we ran various setups and tests. On Spade, the Plustek scanner will work with VueScan, but it gives poor results; it works much better and faster on the Mac with the dedicated software. The Epson scanner works well with both VueScan and iScan (its own software) on Spade, and the Fujitsu scanner works with simple-scan (run from the command line because it doesn’t seem to have a .desktop file) and VueScan.
