Started going through the changes needed to bring lab machines up to latest LTS.
It looks like primarily gsettings issues as usual.
Snaps do not appear to be the issue I thought they might be, but as more core apps are turned in to snaps the value of a local cache diminishes. Running a local snap store does not look viable right now.
Worked through a few small issues in the package builder app - mostly just updating and de-crufting.
