Switchover was at 8.30 on Monday. Following the switch, we ran a range of tests and benchmarks, and all seems to be performing well, although initial access to the server for those using FileZilla now requires interactive login and a Duo push. Home directories are now in /home rather than /home1t, which means people need to be shown how to navigate to their target folders.

The other problem we encountered was repeated prompts for passwords and Duo pushes whenever any action was taken in FileZilla. However, FileZilla will use ssh keys if any are found on the machine, so I wrote a script to generate and copy an ssh key to the server; EW ran it on Salander, and it worked, allowing painless operation in FileZilla. That script is in the HCMC repository. GN has also written a more sophisticated version that walks the user through the process, for more generic scenarios.

On Tuesday, did some more testing, and started figuring out how to rewrite some scripts which used to run on Cantaloupe, but which will now have to run on Squash instead because of ACLs.
